"Chainsaw Man" is a Japanese manga series created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018 and concluded in December 2020. The story follows Denji, a young man who makes a deal with a devil-possessed chainsaw, which transforms him into a chainsaw-like demon. He becomes a part of a special task force that fights against devils and other supernatural creatures.
The series has gained popularity for its dark and violent themes, as well as its unique character designs and storytelling. In addition to the manga, an anime adaptation of "Chainsaw Man" was officially announced in late 2020. The anime is being produced by MAPPA, and is set to debut in 2021.
